The Puerto Plata area offers a wide variety of things to do. You won’t have any trouble finding something to suit your taste, whether you want the adventure of a parasailing or white-water-rafting, or shopping or the thrill of enjoying the only Cable Car in the Caribbean to the top of Mount Isabella! The area is rich with history, both in town and at a historic fort you can tour.
With your rental you automatically receive tickets to OceanWorld and you are entitled to a day of golf at the Los Mangos course. Every member of your group will receive these privileges. Transport to and from these locations is included at no charge.
The resort provides several on-site excursion desks where you can arrange trips. Credit cards or cash are accepted. If you schedule something be sure to get contact information for the vendor, especially if you are doing early-morning activities, like fishing trips, so you can reach the vendors directly if the excursion centers are closed. We also provide our guests with local off-property tour guides who must be paid in cash but their fees are lower than the on-property excursion sites.
When you book with us, you receive a ‘welcome’ note 2 weeks prior to arrival. That gives you lots of information about excursions so you can plan ahead, though, personally, we recommend you wait to pick dates for excursions until you can see the weather forecast, planning outdoor activities for the best dates.
